Two newly created friendly critters and a bag made from recycled materials.
The inspiration for my two Ratty's came from a book my friend Ro gave me. It was about Monsieur Rat, who wanted to grow his moustache, so he drank a potion which made his moustache grow and grow until he had to carry it around in bags.
The rat in the book had been made out of fabric and I had a couple of recycled mohair shawls that looked just like the fabric the rat in the book was made from. I could not help myself, I drew up a pattern, tweaked it and made my own Monsieur Ratty. He was made as part of Craft Week at our local book shop and featured in a window display.
The second Ratty, known as Samurai Ratty I made for a friend in Australia because she likes rodents! He is also made out of a recycled mohair shawl and his clothes are made from fabrics and a recycled Obe I bought in Japan.
