Welcome to Creatopia
Jane Lambert is a keen artist and embroiderer and indulges in 'random acts of stitching', pen and ink line drawings and other creative endeavours. She lives in Nelson at the top of the South Island of New Zealand which in itself is a place where the arts flourish. She shares her 'retro coloured' home with a very spoilt cat 'Tiki' who is a Burmese moggy cross.
Stitchers and Chatterers
Stitchers and Chatterers is a creative embroidery group Jane belongs to. They meet at one another's houses every two to three weeks. Group members work on a variety of projects from traditional to contemporary. Jane is the most undisciplined, she loves to do 'random acts of stitching' projects which are predominantly contemporary.
What you will find within
Hawaii and Japan
Jane is an Hawaii-o-phile and also a Japan-o-phile and has had the chance to visit these 'related' places.
This is a web site of....who where what what's it all about??orientating viewers entertain, buyers, friends, stitchers etc
Creatopia is a site of creative endeavours and in particular, Jane indulges in 'random acts of stitching' - she invented this title because when she stitches and draws, her instincts take over and the results become quite random. She is a free spirit and her intuition seems to just run away with her. However, the results are very pleasing, as you will see in her gallery on her Portfolio page.
Move these paragraphs s Blog
My good friend Ro, who is extremely creative - she's a writer and has a fortnightly column in our local Nelson Mail. She writes on all manner of things and I suggest you check out her website and for some outstanding entertainment. You can find her blog at http://www.greyurbanist.com/. I have strayed off the topic - I wanted to add that I love to make journals and books, do collage, ink line drawings, embroidery of course and many other creative endeavours which include food, reading, writing and gardening.
And another thing....latest finds, op shops etc
I'm a real magpie - I fossick in op shops, recycle centres - otherwise known as the 'local tip/dump shop' which offers all manner of exciting usable and creative detritus. I have been known to set off for a day on a treasure hunt and usually come home with THE most amazing bargains. If you have never done this, get with it and help save the planet by recycling and joining the creative initiative.
Web learner's licence....blog stuff
I am new to this web site thing, so bear with me. I only have my learner's licence and will no doubt make the odd blunder along the way. Please feel free to offer suggestions where I could improve my content and layout. Thanks. I won't rave on anymore about who I am and will now work on putting my creativity on view. See you again soon.
